Season/weather/Prey

SEASON= Summer/fall WEATHER= Some days are still warm but things are slowly cooling down and trees are changing color and small rain storms with some snow in some of the higher elevated areas. PREY= Prey is very abundant, many are eating a lot to prepare themselves for the cold winter ahead.

^{Have you ever dreamed of a place with no rules? A place where you could do whatever you wanted, whenever you wanted? There was no others telling you what to do? You probably thought of great times and peace for all. And if you thought this you were wrong. Dead wrong. Welcome to Controlling Chaos.

Here is the placed you've been dreaming of, but without the peace and prosperity for all. Here in the city of Nashua, there are five packs fighting for survival: Kari, Ashai, Harku, Shou and Fang. Of course there is always the option of taking the challenge alone, but does your character have what it takes? Humans still reside in the city, but with their number dwindling the canines have decided to ban together to banish them from the city once and for all. But if they are successful, what will happen next? It is up for you to decide. Create a character, enter the realistic city of Nashua, and pick a path for your character to follow.

Controlling Chaos is an advanced level of roleplay, meaning we have a 300 word minimum for every in character post. We have just opened and have staff positions still available. We are a friendly and caring site, and anyone who may abide to the 300 word minimum is welcome to enter.

^{Out on an island away from human civilazation lays the lands of the wolves. This island is large, and provides everything a wolf needs to survive. It's a paradise, but it can also become a personal hell. In the beginning, there were two packs living in peace. Nalani and Minu pack. Xavier, a elderly male wolf led Nalani Pack, where Zelda, a beautiful yet ancient female led Minu. Peace went on for centuries. When Zelda died, an force pushed the packs to split. A young wolf named Xerxes couldn't stand the paradise. Everything was too perfect. He fought his way, shattering Minu into two new packs, Agana, and Nura.

A decade after that, Xavier died, with him, Nalani pack died too. Again, a fight broke out, and the pack of peace seperated. Hades and Livvy pack were then formed. Now, four packs roam the island know as Naminu Isle. Agana, the wolves of darkness that strive for the taste of blood. Nura, the perfect and loving pack, sticking fast to the old traditions of Nalani and Minu. Hades, the sly and cunning pack, secretive and tricky. And finally, Livvy, the pack that shows they're power with strength, phyically and mentally. Around every corner there is danger, or prehaps an adventure. Dare to join in? Will you be the next leader, or will your blood be the one smeared on Agana's fangs? Why not take that risk...

The wolves have just settled down into their new territory after their last move from loss of prey. Each leader is full of confidence that they had made their very last move.
But they have been hearing strange barking noises and smelling strange things. Some leaders are preparing for a "invasion" from a different animal and others are ignoring it, or planing an attack on a different pack thinking it was them. What is the strange animal? And will effect the packs?

The Wolf Pack

Wolves are an extremely social animal. They exist as a social unit called a pack.

Wolves travel and hunt in a group and perform almost all other activities in the company of fellow wolves.

The pack, the basic unit of wolf social life, is usually a family group. It is made up of animals related to each other by blood
and family ties of affection and mutual aid.

The core of a pack is a mated pair of wolves - an adult male and female that have bred and produced young.

The other members of the pack are their offspring: young wolves ranging in age from pups to two and three-year-olds.

Pack sizes vary, most packs have 6 or 7 members, although some may include as many as 15 wolves. The size depends on many variables including the current numbers of the wolf population, the abundance of food, and social factors within the wolf pack.

Within each pack is an elaborate hierarchy. It may consist of a single breeding pair, the Alpha male and female, a lower group consisting of non-breeding adults, each with its own ranking, a group of outcasts, and a group of immature wolves on their way up. Some of the younger wolves of the pack may leave to find vacant territory and a mate.

Individual wolves in a pack play different roles in relation to the others in the group. The parent wolves are the leaders of the pack - the alpha male and alpha female. (Alpha is the first letter in the Greek alphabet.)

The alpha male and female are the oldest members of the pack and the ones with the most experience in hunting, defending territory, and other important activities.

The other pack members respect their positions and follow their leadership in almost all things, The alpha wolves are usually the ones to make decisions for the pack when the group should go out to hunt or move from one place to another.

The juveniles and pups-wolves under two years old do not occupy permanent positions within the pack hierarchy. They all take orders from their parents and older brothers and sisters, but their relationships with each other change frequently. During their play and other activities, they are constantly testing one mother to find out who will eventually be "top wolf" in their age group.

Wolves Diet
Wolves are carnivores (meat eaters) but they will eat other foods as well. Their diet ranges from big game, such as elk and moose, to earthworms, berries and grasshoppers.

To avoid using too much energy catching their food, wolves prey on weaker members of a herd, such as old, young or sick animals. In summer, when the herds migrate, wolves eat mice, birds and even fish. They may also eat carrion.

Wolves eat their food very quickly, probably to protect it from being stolen, and to decrease the chance of attack from other predators. They eat the best parts first, and come back later for the remainder, as they can't afford to be wasteful. They will hide food in the snow, or icy soil, which helps to preserve it, and protect it from scavengers.

Wolves can eat every 5-6 hours when there is plenty of food available, or they can fast and live on scraps for 2 weeks when there is less food around.

Name:Alaska came from an Aleut word for "great land," though some believe the Aleut word meant "mainland," referred to it by those residing on the Alaska Peninsula. Scientist and surveyor William Healey Dall wrote in 1870: "This name, now applied to the whole of our new territory, is a corruption, very far removed from the original word . . . called by the natives Al-ak-shak or Al-ay-ek-sa. From Alayeksa the name became Alaksa, Alashka, Aliaska, and finally Alaska. We have, then Alaska for the territory, Aliaska for the peninsula.

Alaska today refers to the entire state as well as the Peninsula. "Alyeska" is still around, though, as the name of a ski resort in Girdwood, as well as the name of the Anchorage consortium overseeing the trans-Alaska pipeline company.

Here is the map of Alaska. Where the wolf is howling is the main territory where this RP is taking place..Yes it is the same area The movie Balto was made in. ( and a little in the purple and blue. The red and gold are areas that should not be entered. it would take about 40-60days for a few wolves to get there walking. 30-40 days if it where running. The unmarked land is also land that the packs should not enter because of to much human population. This RP is taking place way back when the humans were just starting to civilize a few areas of Alaska and explore others.)If we get lots more members our territories will expand.

The purple and gold area are full of large predators. There are many predators in the other areas but not as many.

The Maroon gold and purple area is much colder than the others. Winters are harsh. In spring weather is better but still cool(because this is the arctic circle). Maroon area is a danger area for the wolves.. Not many go there and not many return..

The purple and blue areas is where you might see a few humans but not many. Same with the bright red but rarely you would see humans in the bright red.

Prey may become scares and the packs may have to move around to find more prey and move back once more prey comes..You will be able to see the weather,season and how much prey is out there on the information centers on either the left side or right.

3. There should be no fighting, if there is Personal message Silmaooth Right away and give the name of the two or more who where fighting.
Even if it they where fighting in a personal message you still must report it.

4. There is not Cussing allowed on this website at all! No in the Cbox not in threads and not in Personal Messages. If you do get caught swearing you will have one warning and one only. If you are caught again you are immediately banned for a day.

5. Posts on this website must be 10 sentences or longer. Nothing can run shorter than 8 sentences,in posts.

6. If you are leaving the site for any reason you must post in the leave board. If you do not(state your reason for leaving before you leave)your bio will be moved to the Boonies until you can prove to the admin that you will be a active member.

7. Do not act like some one else I can see IP addresses(your computers identity)

8.No text chat on this site like: brb nvm ttyl the only two that are okay are LOL and ROFL and thats it.
